1. Explore Balboa Park

4. Visit the Sea Lions at La Jolla Cove 

The La Jolla Cove is located across the water from La Jolla Shores. Its beauty and snorkeling reputation are reason enough to put La Jolla Cove on your San Diego bucket list. What really is exciting about La Jolla Cove are the common sun bathers, the sea lions. You can often see them swimming in the tide pools and close to the cove’s bluffs. And if you are lucky they will be joining you on the beach to lay in the sun. Don’t forget to also get into the water and kayak into the sea caves!

 

5. Surf 15th Street – Del Mar Beach

Have you surfed before? From pro surfers to beginners there is no better place to enjoy the day than 15th street in Del Mar. As one of San Diego’s premium surfing beaches, you’ll find stunning beach views, great waves, and warm water. There are numerous delicious restaurants and surf shops right off the beach for you. Note that during the summer, parking is extremely hard to come by, so consider grabbing an Uber or Lyft to the beach.
